People receive their newsletter in a variety of ways: mailed to their home, delivered by a volunteer, notified through on-line subscription, viewed on the COA website homepage, or picked up at the Senior Center.
Our most popular classes may have a sign up date, or in some cases, a lottery to allocate spaces. All details are in the newsletter.
Fall 2022 we are having almost all classes, groups and programs in-person. Follow the instructions in the newsletter regarding registration. For those classes still on Zoom, please email the senior center with your request, firstname.lastname@example.org. This way we have a valid email to send the zoom link to. You will be sent a confirmation email on receipt of your request. We can not accept registration requests online. Please be aware that we will continue to follow CDC guidelines which may result in changes to our advertised programming.
You can register for meals by calling 978-929-6652. Meals may be allowed to be taken out if you have extenuating circumstances, otherwise we invite you to eat in. While we are continuing to have some of our programs on Zoom we are now offering the opportunity to you to watch the presentation in the more social setting of the Senior Center. You can still watch at home if you prefer. Check the newsletter for specific details.
Acton seniors receive priority for programs, so out-of-town seniors may be asked to call back after a certain date or be placed on a waiting list, depending on the program. We are proud to be able to offer the majority of our programs free to both Acton Seniors and those from Out-of-town, thanks to generous support from agencies and our Friends. We do have to charge out-of town seniors for some programs. Depending on funding for a particular program or activity we may also respectfully suggest a minimal voluntary contribution from our Acton seniors. All details are in the newsletter. Our exercise programs are for Acton seniors only.
