Program Registration

People receive their newsletter in a variety of ways: mailed to their home, delivered by a volunteer, emailed, viewed on the Town website, or picked up at the Senior Center. This means that some seniors receive their newsletter a few days before others. The COA staff has found that having a particular registration date is the fairest method for signing up for classes and programs. When reading the newsletter, you should make note of the registration date for new programs, typically early in the week following your newsletter's arrival in the mail.  During the Covid pandemic we have suspended the usual 'registration date' but our most popular classes will still have a sign up date, or in some cases, a lottery to allocate spaces. Through Spring and into Summer we will be continuing to offer programs and our usual groups over zoom. Follow the instructions in the newsletter regarding registration. Please email the senior center with your requests, seniorcenter@actoncoa.com.  This way we have a valid email to send the zoom link to. You will be sent a confirmation email on receipt of your request. We can not accept registration requests online. Registration is required for all drive thru lunches which you can call to do, 978-929-6652. As COVID restrictions are lifted and changed our program delivery will also adapt - keep up to date with the newsletter.

Acton seniors receive priority for programs, so out-of-town seniors will often be asked to call back after a certain date or be placed on a waiting list, depending on the program. While most of our programs are free to Acton seniors, there is a small charge to folks from outside Acton. Many drop-in activities and informational programs are open to out-of-towners free of charge.
