Council on Aging Board

The mission of the COA Board is to serve as an advocate for seniors, aiding them to maximize their independence and quality-of-life through the support of programs and services to meet Senior Citizens health, economic, social and cultural needs.

The nine member advisory board works closely with the COA Director.  It is always looking for new auxiliary members.  Please call the COA at 978-929-6652 if you would like more information on the Board.  

The functions of the COA Board include:
  • Sharing skills with the Senior Center staff and participants
  • Identifying the needs of Acton senior citizens, particularly those who are vulnerable
  • Advocating on behalf of seniors on the state and local level
  • Supporting the Senior Center budget
  • Serving as in an advisory capacity to the COA Director and Board of Selectmen

  • Other Senior/Citizen Gatherings
